Method

Good language teaching combines structure with personal attention. At Olingua you follow a clear learning path, while your teacher adapts the pace and exercises to you.

Our principles

  1. A clear learning path

Every level has defined learning outcomes. You know what you'll learn, and when you've mastered a level.

  2. All four skills

Reading, listening, writing and speaking get equal attention. Not just grammar, and not just conversation.

  3. Understanding why

You don't just hear that something is wrong, but also why. That way you stop making the same mistake.

  4. Speaking from the first lesson

You use the language from day one, in short conversations you can manage.

  5. Feedback that helps

Regular personal feedback on your writing and pronunciation, with concrete tips.

  6. Language and culture

A language never stands apart from the people who speak it. Culture, history and current affairs are part of learning.

What a lesson looks like

  1. Review

We start with what you learned last time and go over your homework.

  2. New material

A new topic explained, with examples from real texts and conversations.

  3. Practice

Speaking, reading and writing exercises in which you apply the new material straight away.

  4. Wrap-up

A short summary and homework tailored to you, so you keep practising between lessons.
